Hi everyone, long time since i did an actual blog post i know, there´s been so much to pin lately, because as usual SL is buzzing with events and activities, something i love, so this blog post comes with a bit of a delay.

You all know how much i love events, and i keep earing constantly of people saying, they are to many events i can´t keep up with them all, well i sometimes think there aren´t enough events, that even tho the amount of mainstream shop do get represented, a lot of cliques and small groups and communities, don´t get the same exposure, and they sure deserve it.

We <3 Roleplay came to fill in a void for the rp community, so has Genre since the start of this year, and even now as World Goth Fair starts, suddenly a bunch of groups that are so far away from your usual mainstream fashion are getting noticed and filling up gaps and showing us new shops, making our SL more diverse and exciting.

The light at the end of the tunnel

Is sometimes just that a light, you all know how much i enjoy events and lately there have been a lot of them, so i get to do less of my regular blogging, but this weekend i actually had some time to take a few snaps, and again go back to landscaping and even some shopping.

So i dropped in at We Love Role-Play a brand new event dedicated to those who RP but not only, you all know i like different pics, and get tired of doing only fashion ones, besides i always felt a blog post had to show you either a character or a story, or a mood for me to really enjoy it.

I think that is a little obvious from most of my posts, and sure we all love pretty pictures but don´t we all love stories more? And since my writing is far from perfect or even acceptable i usually try to transmit those moods, stories thru my pics. Sometime ago in my post Amblyodipsas Rosaceae i tried to do Pancake´s (From over at Renoobed)  challenge, it´s called Create a Character Challenge but i had this feeling i had failed, since i wanted to blog this event this is my second try. You guys see why i don´t do challenges and memes? I´m never happy with m Challenge results, and i´m too private for memes.

The Sun, the bees and my failings

Today is the day we get another big event, since Bees Through the Seasons is already open, and i always found this event cute and special, well not many insects get their own event, and i doubt few could pull it, so of course i wanted to  something special for it, by the way you can find all my pins for the event here, for an easy shopping guide while you navigate thru the event, or for previous window browsing.

Whenever i think of bees i associate them like most people i would guess with sun and flowers, and that´s indeed what i felt like, like a flower when i saw these Baiastice gorgeous dresses for the event, and this i where my shortcomings come in, I´ve become a terrible blogger lately due to my technical issues with SL and my constant experimentation.

I had some pretty simple ideas on how to blog the dress and what i wanted to show, it´s amazingly well done texturing, and the cute and detailed bees around the raised waistline, but then i´ve ben absorbed lately in play with flowey poses, since i had a shopping spree at her store last weekend, and i also got a bunch of new nails, for my pretty slink hands, from Orc Inc., s instead of doing a proper blog post i ended up with a bunch of different experiments while i tried to show m hands and nails, and failed at it, but as you all practise make us better, and i´m quite fond of these pics, and i´m sure you are all gonna run off to check the event, and will be able to try a demo of this gorgeous dress, as well as all the pretty cute and sunny perfect items available there.

Dancing with myself

How often does it happen, you´re either at home, on the bus, in your car, basically anywhere, and suddenly, that tune comes on the radio, or the shuffle on your iphone makes it´s notes ring, and for no reason at all except that you have a beat and a melody you can´t just not dance.

You sometimes start just by slowly tapping your foot, growing faster and faster as the beat speeds up and suddenly you´re dancing, and the most fun part of it is, you´re dancing like no one is watching, because even if they where, you don´t care and you would never notice. For as long as that song lasts is just you and the beat, nothing else exists or matters.

I´m pretty sure we all had moments like these, i call it the dancing with myself, and it was my inspiration for this blog post when i tried out this pose set from flowey, and the basic idea for the whole setting, it´s also how most of my blog posts start, so often with a simple contagious beat that speeds ups and grows till it´s a full 5 minute song.

And a simple song, becomes a lot more when i start building up on that tiny inspiration, and concept, you can´t just dance in an empty space, you need a setting a context and meaning, and then the rest of the blog post grows, with me sitting down and picking pieces and little bits that sorta fit in together not only for me but for those reading.

So i bring you today a peaceful, but at the same time busy space , i love doing furniture posts even if they take time and patience and a lot of positioning, i guarantee you  have has much furniture, if not more off frame in this picture, mostly because there is so much amazing quality available n sl these days, it becomes hard to pick from it all.

But i did my picking and as you can see is mostly part and bits from a lost of what´s available at FaMESHed this month and yet i had also to leave a lot of the awesome out, but you can´t possibly blog all the things i keep saying to myself.

This isn´t probably the best way either to show of the ne Slink Avatar Enhancement, and i am sure you will find a lot more, better posts out there that show you all the options, and the different appliers, including all the nail options from 1001 different stores, but i always do things my way, and i wanted to show the appliers in action and inworld as i normally use them, in my regular casual style, and with movement, free from close ups , with plenty of shadow dancing and look for the first time no seams at all on my feet or hands.

I´m sold and in love with these, and thanks to Siddean Munro for making the appliers available to other creators and also to Izzie’s for putting out matches so fast and all in a super easy to use HUD, i now wait for all the other shops that wil also follow, and all the pretty nail options i´l have soon to play with.

Next i have to mention this lovely group gift from the M.O.C.K. Cosmetics the also lovely Bernadette that was sent out to group yesterday and includes Lolas appliers, another generous gift after this weekend´s gift fest from Mockie, where my inventory got loaded with new eyeshadow, makeovers and new lipstick, which i´m also wearing here.

But i did mention an event, and as you can see by my pretty coffee cup i visited Atelier Kreslo where you can find these and to go version for sale pretty cheap, and is what i usually wear when out and about around sl looking at events in general.

And i am mentioning Atelier Kreslo today because they have something new out and happening since yesterday, with the opening of a new art show by Em Larsson where 6 of her beautiful pieces will be set for sale, i promise to drop by there later and pin her amazing work for you guys.

By the water

It´s not by the water really but all over SL that the Four Walls Hunt starts today, for the rest of this month at a lovely selection of stores you will find items worth 200L set for sale at 20L and hidden somewhere inside and adorable box with a tree. So go, and hunt and grabb some awesome stuff while you ignore the rest of this rambling blog post.

I wanted to do a special post with more items from the hunt, by the way you can check some previews on their website here, but sadly SL has been hating me latelly, viewers that crash, textures that will not rezz at all, shadows that are ridiculously weird and a lot of bug square, so i couldn´t do my original plan of showing has many hunt items as possible. Also January is one of the busiest and craziest months for my family, we celebrate not one, not two but three birthdays one of them including mine, so between cake and cupcakes, lunches and birthday parties i´m busy, busy.

But i was lucky with these two pics and managed to also stop at COLLABOR88 for some shopping.

I´m not much of a metalics person so this months C88 was a bit lost on me i´ll admit, but i had to grab this lovely dress from R2 i love the shape i love the way the fabric falls and how the rigging is so well done, i just wish it came with matching panties, and the bracelets from BOOM where a perfect match for it, and it all went well with my silly idea of using water, to be honest i rarelly do pics in the water, i dunno why maybe i find it´s sometimes over used, and maybe cause people always mute the skies in them a bit, but i ended up doing a lot of things i don´t usually do it seems.

And i love doing that, going out of my usual confort zone and doing things i´m not used to and i knew i would have to beacause of this chair, it´s called Somewhere Beyond The Sea Chair and it´s by [bauwerk] which is the new brand from the 22769  boys exclusevly for furniture and house decor, and mixing that with these gorgeous Pose Plastique poses called by the water and some soft as clouds and big as well hair from Magika, i was waiting to blog about for ages, i knew there was no way i could avoid water and sky, so i might as well embrace it.

So here it is what SL allowed me to do briefly and also a close up from this dreamy Glam Affair skin with one of my favourite lipstick colours so far this year, see you all again soon if i don´t overdose in cake.

This place feels empty

I did these pics at least more then a week ago but only now did i get ready to blog them, i was planning finally a COLLABOR88 post, and also a big thank you to a few more creators who had just joined Unhinged, and who´s new releases at shops or just stuff i had away for future blogging fitted this post.

So today from the current COLLABOR8 i bring you the hair from LaViere, i´m in love with this hair colour atm slightly pinkier then my usual Wasabi Pills gingerbread tone, these fun dual coloured pants from BOOM, from an old edition i´m wearing the LaGyo earings, which i had waiting on inventory for some time now, and not from COLLABOR88 but from FaMESHed i have this Maxi Gossamer creation with plenty of colour options as usual all menu driven.

I was so happy when Damien Fate celebrating his birthday released for free this adorable friendship bear ( i simply ran to his shop and grabbed one then sent a copy to all of those on my friend list since they are copy and trans) perfect to had a lighter touch to the clearly emotional loaded Heart broken poses, a new release from Exposeur, one of the shops participating in Unhinged.

Two other shops featured here that also are part of the event are Geometry, where i got this lovely basic simple top, that  is available in so many colours and with a sheer version, the other shop i had never blogged before and it´s Scarlet Creative where i bought this amazingly simple but yet detailed prefab, i love it´s minimalist lines, mixed with a little bit of fantasy, and practical, I´ve been following Charlotte´s work for some time now, and it´s amazing the friendly, relaxed and also dedicated way in which she has embraced mesh.

Although this was to be a blog about missing someone someone, i can´t have sad words to write about any of the products in it, even while doing the pictures, the bear little smile and the soft light and shadows could not make sad at all.

It´s colder by the sea

Indeed it is colder, after hardly any Fall at all, winter came in with full force, and even if i don´t share much about rl i do indeed live by the sea, not in such a tiny small house of course, i don´t think this one would survive one stormy nite around these parts. Thankfully in SL nothing get´s blown out by storms, unless you really want to, and have the script for it, even today as i type it´s another one of those days, a gray, windy, rainy one, where it´s never really enough day light to make you feel like the sun came up.

The best thing to do on days like these is to simply stay in, with a warm cup of tea (no milk, and 3 sugars please), with a blanket over your legs and a cat on your lap, whilst you happily shop in Sl, sadly i don´t get to do that today, I hope some of you do tho, cause there is nothing better to do on a stormy day.

I have been lacking in blogging this month, and this is why only today i get to show some of FaMESHed goodies, and some of Baffle! sale items, well besides being sick over the past week, I´ve also been busy With Unhinged, just a few days ago i did a blog post on the Official event blog with All merchants Booths for Unhinged, a blog post that already needs updating since creators have been adding stuff to the Booths, I´ve also been trying to support all live djs that have been busting their asses, by keeping the event going.

I promise soon to bring you guys some Unhinged goodies in the meanwhile you can follow the amazing work done by my fellow bloggers by checking the Official flickr group. I can´t say how amazed i am at all the talent i´ve seen latelly, I had never been involved in the organization of an event before, and i feel so proud of all the bloggers who signed up to help and those that didn´t sign up also, seriously guys you all deserve my respect.

Until tomorrow everyone and don´t let the stormy weather affect your mood.

I hate when an event ends, I´m left with that sad feeling that there wasn´t enough time to do all the things, not just cause my blogging has been a tad erratic lately , but because i didn´t get to shop or blog all the things, like with these gorgeous Gos boots, or the fri.day hat both from Cinema, i knew when i first saw them i wanted a Indiana Jones inspired blog, but it took me ages to find all the other pieces, and the whole post was only actually ready when Adorkable released this Floored named set of ground sitting poses.

Part of me is sad it took me so long to actually be prepared and happy enough with it to actually publish it, the other proud says, you know girl, don´t do it unless you are really sure and comfortable with it, and i feel that i am, luckily for us all is never a wasted blog post, because most shops will either make their event items available at shops some time after it ends, and truly love that, sometime you just can´t make it to that event and catching it later, or a different version of it for me is always a plus.

And speaking of events remember we have Unhinged coming up on the 15th i already wrote about it the other day, and you can find all the extra info here, or just bug me for it.

Something else that happened this week got me pretty excited i got picked for Second Life Pic of the day on Monday so i´ve been snickering and proud all week (kidding i´ve been mostly surprised and blushing).

Tomorrow we get back to running events, and remember folks TGIF.

Gravity Loss

Sometimes a sentence, an image, a video, a feeling inspires you, sometimes bloggers get stuck, not always for lack of ideas or inspirations, sometimes you´re just stuck and need a good kicking to get the engine going, well if you´re stuck you can turn to the [SL] Blogger Support group, i know i do quite  a few times, for tutorials, for locations, for a nudge or a helping hand, but now you can reach out for inspiration also with the new Inspire me weekly cues to help you out, with concepts.

I didn´t need the group help for these tho although it would certainly fit the Second Life and music category, since these where actually inspired by a video of Woodkid´s Iron, some people might remember the song from the Official Assassin´s Creed Revelations trailer, and it´s such a powerful video and music i´m sure it will inspire a lot more pictures.

I really enjoy these sort of composites, i sometimes moan and groan about how hard they are since it involves a lot of patience and SL collaborating with me and not crashing me half way thru it, but i was lucky yesterday and managed these, I´m not sure if the best way to show a house is to catapult yourself thru it, but this skybox is from Abyss and it will be available at The Men´s Department today, and seems a bit of a study of one of my favourite poses store, Adorkable including the amazing Falling set at this months My Attic.

So here it is sadly i can´t link the whole sequence in one panel, but hopefully the feeling and idea make sense, just remember you can always see the higher resolutions versions of these on my Flickr, and try not to loose your footing folks cause it´s only monday.
