This is kind of a silly blog, i was just playing about with Niran´s, trying to get the feel of the viewer, and going thru my Plurk Timeline, when i saw an add from another shop featuring this hair, right away i imed Nicole from smileyorc, asking where is this hair from, and of course she KNOWS ALL THE THINGS, and right away said Magika, so i ran over to the shop, bald, half transparent and with mismatched feet and hands, to grab it.

I was only cleaning inventory, at least trying/pretending to and thinking of a look for a test pic, also new was this lovely Maitreya dress, and Bilo´s Noor skin for the Around The World event, so i took myself a new profile pic.

Shaman has been testing picture editing software and has been sending me links like crazy of demos to try out, so that last pic was one of his tests, so many crazy image editing software out there, i have to find some time to pic a few and test them out for you guys, don´t you just love demos?

Unhinged

You all know i love events, i love having all of my favourite designers in one place, like a huge Fair or Carnival, i even love more themed events, i even like more events with a common cause or purpose, be it just thru their theme, or for a specifc thing, like  charity.

But i like event better when i can help out my friends, or simply work with them, I´ve known Eku Zhong of Culprit for a few years, we met thru SLU and since the day i added her to my friends list my life got a little richer, mostly richer with laughs and wise advise, because she is the kind of person who will make you smile no matter how shitty your day is, and now i have a chance to help out a little in making Eku smile, Nephilaine Portagonist explains the whole situation here better than i ever could on this post: A love letter for Eku <3 but basically and in summary Eku needs to have surgery to the skull that protects that amazing little and quick brain of hers, and this is when friends gather to help and try to make the whole situation affordable for Eku and her partner Yure.

Most of us had no idea of how serious the situation even was to be honest, her humour and joy for life never let it show all the hardships she has to go thru on a daily basis, but now we know and Unhinged is born and it´s a month lasting event with a skull theme/inspiration, starting on November 15th through December 15th, and it´s a gatcha Fair with a lot of pretty awesome stores participating.

Now how am i helping? I did so far two poster pics, that you can see further down and am along with Sonya over at Astalianda coordinating bloggers (remember to fill in this application if you would like to join us), and also helping out with promoting in general. Another thing i´m planning is sponsoring the event myself probably with a photo contest for more info on that you can follow out Flickr Group, or just check for news on the Unhinged blog, my personal blog here or the SLU thread about it.

In the meanwhile i´ll be here helping out with anything needed, and wearing some pretty stuff from my favourite big events going on at the moment: Cinema and The Costume Ball.

Money for nothing

It´s what scammers want, and today me and many others stumbled into one, let me tell this story from the start, i woke up this morning to a wave of emails, as i got to the kitchen and my phone caught the wi-fi signal, the bips would not end, still kinda of blurry-eyed and dazed from sleep i see a flood of emails in my inbox, flickr messages, SLU pms a lot more than the usual activity.

My friends had also been on fire on Skype, and as soon as i managed to sit down and actually look at the content, my eyes rolled, apparently someone with a Deviant Art account had stolen pictures from Flickr from a lot of SL bloggers and filled a gallery with them, including two pictures of mine, the ones you can see on the pictures i´m holding, between those who had their pics stolen are: my dear friend Sonya from Astalianda,  and a lot of pictures from Strawberry Singh, Gogo from Juicy Bomb and Whiskey Monday from Whiskey Shots only to mention a few, but the worse is yet to come not only was this DA account who is also a SL resident by the name of bekidarling was passing other residents pictures as her own she was also trying to sell prints of them on Deviant Art, trying to make money of other people’s work, she was also claiming she was the creator of everything in the picture.

She also claimed the credits for every item in those pics, undermining and insulting every creator showcased in them and all the hours of hard work that go into building in SL.

When i got to work and finally could look at her page all the pictures where already taken down by her, after the massive amount of comments and links to the originals, today i learned a big lesson, don´t mess with the SL community, if we find you are stealing from any of us, be it a blogger or a creator, we will talk about it, on plurk, on forums, by email, by skype, we have each other´s backs.

A big hug and thank you for all of those who sent me a message, for all of those who spread the word, for all of those who will not let pass when someone´s hard work and time is stolen by scammers, looking for a quick buck, today i mostly wanna say thank you SL and thank you my friends.

I would also like to send a huge hug to all my blogger friends who had their work stolen, worth hours and hours spent showing the very best of SL, most as hobbie done by love to the platform and the community itself.

Darkness is coming

Slowly falling over us all as the A new Twisted Hunt arrives, starting tomorrow, also starting tomorrow is another hunt, The Summer Harvest Hunt, which i will bring you guys soon over at the The Ego Co. blog.

But let´s start with The Twisted Hunt, one of my favourites, always with a dark theme, always with an amazing list of creators, some more well known others sorta of new, here i bring you guys a small preview from it, this gorgeous mesh necklace by House of Rain, that you might remember from The Goth Fair, and occasional blogs, i love mesh jewelry, and i love the detail it brings, also i like it even more when it´s copy and mod, the best thing for any mesh jewelry, that ended all scaling problems of small prims, allowing you to resize it and fit it to perfection when unrigged, like this beautiful necklace, that shows, a barren tree under a jeweled moon.

I missed doing a more dark look, and for this one, i picked a random skin from Glam Affair, an older one from a long lost Dressing Room, and added something new to the look, one of Nomine´s first mesh releases, in this lovely Shapirre tone, perfect for the mood of another gorgeous Garden of Dreams scene.

The dress has two versions, one of them short and another long, with cut out sides and perfect to show of your back.

So guys, prepare yourselves for an amazing weekend and month hunting, don´t we all love a good hunt? I´ll be seeing you all soon with more hunt goodies, have a wonderful weekend.

My usual tldr post of the month

Since last month has been all about Hair Fair, this month is gonna be all about Vintage, because Vintage Fair is about to start and from the Aug 4th – Aug 29th, CHIC Management brings it on and i get to enjoy one of my favourite SL events, so expect some previews as soon as possible.

This year the Fair is sponsored by: Aura, Belleza, Cheeky Pea, coldLogic, Gizza Creations, Indyra Originals, PurpleMoon Creations, oOo Studio and Trompe Loeil.  And there is also a  contest filled with prizes, so read about it here.

The Hottie Cooterati Experience  still has Zodiac going on strong, this edition themed by Leo last until the 23rd of August, then leading to it´s second round themed after Virgo.

The Ego Co. organizers of the Mesh Around Hunt, Fluid have a new hunt coming up starting in Setember, which i will be blogging as usual.

Another even that is having is premier is l’accessoires, from August 15th until September 8th we will see a lot about accessories in general, including,  shoes, i´m really looking forward to it.

There is a show tonite

Well more exactly tomorrow even if it´s the 1st already for me, and the first only means one thing, that Fluid is back again with new things, so every two weeks we get to see some of the best pose makers, involved in a theme, this editions theme is ”That’s Risque” divided in 3 sub-categories: Burlesque, S&M, and Voyeurism & Exhibitionism. and i bring you a small preview from what will be available at the event.

This lovely furniture set, that included a screen, a chair and a matching rug is from Clutter and it will be available tomorrow, today for me, at this The Ego Co. event, so here it is my friends, make sure to check the official blog for more previews here.

By the way also well worth mention is that the skin i´m wearing is a gift for group members  available at the Bilo mainstore, so pop over there and try it out if you get a chance, i´m realy surprise at such good work on a first ever made skin.

Fluidity

As we get closer to Friday  Fluid´s first edition is coming to an end, but the second one is about to start, and the theme this time is “That’s Risque”, and subdivided in 3 different categories: Burlesque, S&M, and Voyeurism & Exhibitionist. Here i am showing one of the items still available from the current edition, this super funny (as usual) and really well done mesh tentacles from Weather! or not?, as usual we get an awesome pose prop, but also a decoration item, all in mesh and with a very low land impact.

More new things i wanted to show of, are these gorgeous new LeLutka hair, and the in whites makeup from Pim me down i grabbed at Zombie Popcorn, I hope we get to see more whites from them.

Bikinis are optional

Yes they are and although i prefer them in RL, in SL i always go for a one piece swimsuit, to me it has a way more classic feel, and a one piece is what i´m wearing today, this one is an old model from Zaara, I´ll probably put on an actual bikini at some point during this summer, I have promised myself i would try at least one mesh bikini.

Even if the swimsuit is not a new model, the hair i´m wearing is, i absolutely love it, and i missed Maitreya hair releases, also new is my new beach bag, that inspired the whole look of the pics, and it was a group gift from 22769, I love the fact it´s funny and i´m constantly amazed, on the improvement of their mesh work, from the rolled up newspaper to the blue sandals their works gets better and better with each new release, hunt prize or group gift.

To be honest i don´t know how Manuel and Paco manage to constantly be involved in so many events, both female and male, wich is admirable, while at the same time keep up a such a warm, cheerful attitude to everything, and i advise you all to read a bit more about these two amazing creators here, on Geanna´s blog here.

I also wanted to show of some of the poses available at Fluid, I already blogged the event on Friday when it opened, It´s another  The Ego Co. organized event, and totally dedicated to poses and props with a two week rotation between new releases, and i have to tell you i hope i get time to blog as much of them as possible, because props in it are incredibly good and refreshing.

Before i go i would like to leave here a big thank you to Gogo for the link back on here blog post Sunny, I´m still very new at blogging and when i saw she had mentioned my name i felt extremely happy and at the same time a bit embarrassed, since i´m not used to this sort of attention, but i´m incredibly honoured for the attention of one of Sl´s best blogs, when it comes not only to fashion but also photography, Thank you very much Gogo.

Wet grass

Tonite I sit on wet grass, wet grass due to Fluid, another The Ego Co. event, the organizer of the widely popular Mesh Around Hunt that ends today. And while we lament the end of this amazing hunt we celebrate the start of a new event, and  a longer lasting one, with Fluid every 2 weeks we have a new round of designers with new exclusive items, all related to posing and props today i picked this lovely table from flowey, and i also wore a few things from other events.

sl is buzzing with events atm a lot of them starting today, first Fluid that you can find here, besides Fluid we had the return of one of my all time favorite events, Fifty Linden Friday, in the meanwhile i also received the first items from My Second Box, which is an awesome new concept, well worth the 300L you pay to join the group.

And last but not least still going on is  CHIC², CHIC Management  second anniversary event, also as you might have  seen my last post Oopskate is later on tonite at 10pm SL time and you can read all about it here.

Is that enough events for you guys? Cause i might have left a few out, I´ll just sit and relax in the grass for now, thank you.

Take my picture and frame it

All good things come to an end, and unfortunately Mesh Around, ends tomorrow, this hunt has been going on since the 1st, with a huge amount of hunters and blog posts, you can find them all at the The Ego Co. blog, where you can follow all their events, and also check the amazing blogger team making sure you get to see all the beautiful things available at the events organized.

But even if Mesh Around is ending, Fluid is about to start, tomorrow also. Later on i will try to bring you all a preview, of this new bi-weekly event dedicated to posing and animations.
